The guy has been the true force of the NBA since the first day he stepped on the court. I never liked his game since he didn't put much into shooting free throws when he was all about contact, but that doesn't change the fact that kids in Millbrae, CA wore Orlando Magic parkas during the summer in the early 90's. It wasn't because of Scott Skiles on NBA Jam. 15 years later the 320lbs. beast still can slam with the best of 'em. People are already saying the Suns will suffer greatly from this deal. How so? So we lose Shawn "softy" Marion. I hate to have to smack talk the Matrix, but in big games(playoffs)he would disappear and score 5 points on 4 shot attempts. His defense will be missed, but I'm sure the rotations will be adjusted by D'ntoni. Shaq averaged 14/7 this season while he was healthy. That was on a pathetic Heat team with only 10 attempts/game. He will flourish in PHX. His rebounding will lead to more fastbreak points in an already high octane offense. What about the playoffs? That's what they got him for. What usually stalls the Suns? The halfcourt sets that San Antonio and Dallas throw at 'em. Now they have the big man presence to play that game on both ends of the floor. Don't look for Shaq-Daddy scoring 20/game, but when the playoffs come 'round he will be the force that pushes them over the hump.
